Thus Ethiopian coffee comes from the Sidamo region and is one of our highest rated batches with notes of dark chocolate, citrus, blueberries and a hint of maple syrup. Naturally processed and meticulously dried over 2 weeks to help hold in the berry and dark chocolate flavours, it's one of our personal favourites and hopefully will become one of yours.
ABOUT THE REGION
The Sidamo region of Ethiopia is one of the oldest coffee growing regions in the world, rumoured to date back to the 9th Century. In fact, many people consider it to be the birth place of coffee as the world knows and loves it today. The Ethiopians love their coffee so much that even though they are the 7th largest producers of coffee in the world they consume more than half of it domestically!

Varietals: Native Ethiopian heirloom varietals
Proc. Method: Fully washed with a 45 hour fermentation; then drained 6-8 hours on drying table; then dried 10-12 days on patios depending on strength of sun.
Enjoy sweet citrus aromatics and pleasing maple syrup-like body. The wild sweet lemon and bluberries tones round out into a smooth, clean finish.
